...The Bay Area is incredibly rich, so why are there hungry people here? Ask yourself that before telling the rest of the nation they have to sacrifice for poor, hungry Americans... A nation's poor belong to all and should not have to depend on the charity provided by a few. Too many times such largess is linked to proselytizing or otherwise limited to "our own kind". Everybody will pay for the welfare of all.
