fifteen minute exchange with an ATT chat agent about their Internet/TV promotional bundles:
I had a similar experience with ATT recently. The promotion was that you receive $100 credit for signing up with them. The credit is a Visa card with $100 on it that you receive in 6 weeks after you sign up.

Turns out, they added $100 to the cost of the service and then they "refund" it after 6 weeks in the form of a Visa card. In other words, they use your money for 6 weeks and then return it to you.

If you ask any specific questions, they revert back to their script.

When I ask the girl if she thought it was right for ATT to use my money for 6 weeks without paying me any interest, she asked me when it would be convenient to have a serviceman come and install ATT.
