Al, Why do you continue to use language like "shills" and "inevitable"? Because I've never been under the illusion that supporting universal health care is altruistic. The Washington Post article you linked to quoted Steve Benen, who IMO is one of the biggest shills for the Democratic Party in the media. Would you continue reading a Wall Street Journal article that quoted Rush Limbaugh or Ann Counter? is it that painful to admit and submit to the obvious, particularly when experienced first hand? Let yourself off the hook man... I've already told you what I think will be the benefits and drawbacks of universal health care. But here's another example. I have two high school friends who are battling the VA because they're short-changing their benefits. (One of them is an Iraq War veteran; the other is the wife of one.) If our government is more than willing to screw over our veterans who fought and suffered for our country, imagine what our government will do to the general population once it gets control of health care.
