Inode, computers and automation always threatens unskilled labor. The rate at which human workers gets replaced by machines depends on how quickly technology advances compared with how well the workers can adapt and stay ahead of the curve.

Back to my original point, the existing power structure in unions these days is the problem, not worker collectivization as a whole. Remember my post from 2.5 years back? I'll link it again:

The airport workers voted to break with the SEIU and make their own deal with their employers because they felt the SEIU was ignoring their needs. But the SEIU didn't like that and held a sham rally on Thanksgiving weekend just to reassert their influence.

The workers who made the deal with their employers got what they wanted by collectivizing. But you'll hardly ever hear about that in the mainstream media, because the SEIU thugs control the narrative.

That's one example of how, even though collectivization will never die, the current leadership in America is harming the union cause.
