They can. There are a number of ways. For one, in Texas you can petition to have your right to buy a gun restored. For another, go to a gun show and buy from an individual. Unless you tell the seller you are a convicted felon, there is no way to stop the sale.

Bottom line, the best way to keep guns out of a felon's and is universal background checks when a firearm is sold or transfered. If you allow loopholes, and not having a background check on every sale or transfer is one you can push a capesize freighter through sideways, then you do little to keep guns out of the hands of felons.

The Weiner thing is funny. How many years ago was that and that is all y'all have? You've done the equivalent many, many times in the past 4 years. You just don't have it in you to man up and admit you made a mistake. None of your compatriots can't either, seems to be a winger thing.
