hal--
i will tell you this. if the crap they have announced are the contracts we waited for, i will drag them into court physically.
the GTE CLEC announcement was misshandled from the get go. it should have been worded differently. there are at least 16 sites that are going to be wired up, in as many states. the first on the list was the apartment complex in ca. it should have been handled differnetly.
in june, WSTL was the company to beat. it is a real shame that seamens felt a need to further pump the stock. all he had to do was say things are great, we will make money next year.current estimates will be met through EOY. that was it! if he had just said that the stock would have easily held 20. but, you now have the double whammy of a no announcements and a lack of management credibility, which makes it EASY to drive the stock down.
what i am most upset about is that i did not pick up on this when the AMTX/TI deal was announced.
this cloak and dagger, we cant announce, crap is useless.
as for the telcos being the hold up, i dont know...you can also assign blame on congress for passing the stupid act in the first place and on the FCC for not moving fast enough on tarriffs. at any rate, the company should have kept its mouth shut until they could announce. all these little contracts should bring us pretty close to profitablity. all they had to do was say 'we expect significant deployments going into 98 and with the contracts we have now or will announce in the next few weeks, we will be profitable in the q ending december.
while the deployment announcements are great, what really makes morons on wall st. sing and buy is that we will beat estimates, especially in this environment when that is exceedingly rare.
good luck to all, trey |
