Most politicians are cowards...

ALL of them are more worried about their next election than they are about what's right in the long run..

Saddam was the popular villain of the late 90's so Gore jumped on the bandwagon to show how TOUGH he was.

But, there was NO way he would have tried to trump up a case against Iraq the way Bush did so he could invade.

I think Iraq was part of some goofy neo-con plan all those guys had. I really believe they thought, like Cheney said, that the Iraqis would "throw flowers at our troops".
