According to liberals like yourself, all this personal charity stuff, all of these traditional values, many of which have Christian or other religious roots, have not succeeded in eliminating hunger, poverty, and war.

Hence we need to take personal responsibility out of the equation and rely upon a great altruistic society, which of course has infinite resources, to solve these problems.

After all, you said it yourself in support of "bigger is better" government. When it comes to matters of unenlightened self-interest versus The Commons, the government can be trusted over the people.

Hence your support for shipping the homeless to the rich neighborhoods. You won't lift a finger to help them, but you will ship the problem to big government because government has all the solutions.

That's the utopian ideal you believe in.
