What are "coffee grounds"?
The solid remains after most of the approximately thousand water soluble chemicals are removed.

Also may be known as "used coffee" but for some reason, few people ever use that term.

The chemicals removed into the water include free phenolic acids, chlorogenic acid lactones, melanoidins, theophylline, caffeine, quinic acids including caffeoylquinic acids, feruloylquinic acids, paracoumaroylquinic acids ...
