I've also stopped watching the talking heads. I find that I make less emotional decisions if I tune out the noise.

I've never held on to shares. I have one stop loss set for all shares.
Do you watch the market daily or set stops?

I am not always in the position to watch and need to set up a way to sell only part of a position for the times I want to keep some shares. I suppose I could at some point set up a stop for 25% of the shares, then different stops for the remaining shares. I'd like to know how people are setting up for such a situation?
