H2O is just a feedback gas. Without CO2, all the water would condense out of the atmosphere.

A computer model shows that without carbon dioxide the terrestrial greenhouse would collapse and plunge Earth into an icebound state, according to a paper by NASA scientists published in US journal Science on 15 October. Within 50 years the global average temperature would plunge by 35C to -21C without the thermostatic warming provided by atmospheric carbon dioxide.

What a crock of shit. Have you ever worked with an IR spectrophotometer? If so you would know they are typically purged with dry N2 or dry air. Why? Because water vapor absorbs IR throughout the majority of the IR spectrum. CO2 has a little absorption blip over the course of a few nanometers.
