Do you understand what this means?

a decrease in the global-average lower tropospheric (LT) temperature trend from +0.140 C/decade to +0.114 C/decade (Dec. ’78 through Mar. ’15)

It means temperatures went up 0.114 degrees in a decade, instead of 0.140 degrees.

Since '98, that means it went up about 0.182 degree, instead of 0.224 degrees, if my math is correct.
