Funny Janice, really though we eat mostly canned and some frozen foods. The cooks onboard have some unique techniques to store lettuce for long periods of time. The longest I've seen lettuce last was 4 weeks. Then it gets kinda brown and noone wants it anymore. Like most things you just get used to it. I think the main reason they keep woman from sub duty is the fear of tubal pregnancies. We don't have a doctor onboard, but we do have well trained corpsman. I would much prefer Doctor Crusher any day :-) Michael
