Here is a key point you ignore: the melting and creation of ice doesn't have to be in balance. In the case of the ice sheets, they aren't. Not by a long shot. In the Pine Island Glacier, to take one, the mass imbalance is about 46 gigatons per year. In other words, there are 46 gigatons of more ice that melts than snow and ice that accumulates.

Now, where does that excess water go? Into the oceans. What happens when more water goes into the oceans than evaporates? Sea level goes up. See where this is going?

I see you have abandoned your argument that the ice caps expand. That was probably a smart thing for you to do.
