How long do tax losses of that nature stay valid and usable, under US law? ... until they're deducted from net income, would be the logical answer, but you never know about logic when it comes to law ... my old accountant would probably have known, he once brokered a deal of one company to another for which i was working, based almost entirely on tax losses, they liquidated all assets straight-away after closing ... this was here in the g.w.n., where time was a factor, some of the losses were about to expire, if memory serves
That's a very interesting angle, hmm, haven't considered it before ... the losses that every explorer and developer accumulates are quite useful in early years of mine operation, helps greatly with payback period ... of course it's just recovery of loss, but still, if you've managed to buy low where it's not priced in, it goes to your pile
Got those .07s filled on svbl ... have to scrounge up some cash to bid the nickel tomorrow, maybe a few .06s as well ... had a possibly shakey thing pop some today, mbc.to, maybe shave a few of those if it keeps going, hmm
So at .07 that's what, a market cap of around eleven millions usd ... wow ... for Sierra Mojada ... market cap was even less prior to Merlin's focus change to zinc in 2005 though, you have to see these things in context, never underestimating the power of the swing, be it on the upside or the down
Anybody here follow glk.v? ... competent-looking outfit going into the right end of the graphite business, the processing and dealing in usable products ... i see we got two tiny fills of .09s this morning, deep pullback, i only stuck those orders in as a place to keep spare cash |
