The Pentium was originally/is fabricated with a BiCMOS process. The 0.8 micron (P5), 0.6 micron (P54) and 0,35 micron (P55) all use a BiCMOS process.

I was under the impression that Intel is trying to get to a pure CMOS process.

Perhaps the 0.25 micron process will eliminate the bipolar transistors - but I don't know for sure.
