Brian, Just hang in there--as though there is something else that you can do. If it is any relief, a local broker in my community bought amat at $54 on margin. Even with all his analyst and research it did not save him. From looking at my Dorsey Wright section bull percentage chart since 1995 I see that the Semi sector appears to exceed the 70 percentile, statistically, every 8 to nine months.

If we would use the above cycles as some indication the Jan to/thru April should be very interesting. Again looking at the Semi chart it appears that after a major downturn there is a run upward to approximately to the 58-60%. Based on these figures we will have seen an increase 45% (60%-14.50). The key to the Sector charts are that the market and the sector are generally considered as amounting to approximately 75% of a stocks price.

Since I will be in the 20% capital gains bracket in April I will be watching the sector charts and amat chart so I will not ride the stock down the next time and can sell at the high and buy again at the low with the result giving me additionals shares of amat shares. At least that is my strategy!:)

I will let everyone know what the semi sector and amat chart is indicating.

Naturally, this is my person opined interpretation of the DW Charts, caveat emptor.
