First off, great site Bill. I found the site several years ago after learning that my calcium screening score was 444. I'm a 64 year old male who has had high cholesterol my entire life...so did Dad...he died of cancer at the age of 76. I don't have a weight problem at 5'8" and 160lbs, diabetic type II for 14 years but no other health problems since having a prostatectomy in 2007 for prostate cancer. No other bad habits.

So here's my question for the group. What can I do, if anything, to improve my numbers? Due to having CAD, diabetes and high cholersterol, I'm obviously at very high risk for a potential heart event. However, I do not tolerate drugs well and have found that statins tremendously elevate my blood sugar and cause fatigue. I eat very low fat, mostly fruits and veggies with some lean meat such as chicken and turkey. My latest numbers as of a few weeks ago were; A1c 6.7, HDL 39, LDL 165, Triglycerides 118 and total chol of 228. Not the worst, but certainly needing work. I also exercise occasionally but know that needs to be improved. I'm on some of the supplements that Bill has posted in the intro section such as Vitk2 and 6k units of D3...my D3 is 80 ng/ml.

Any help with alternatives to statins, etc. will be appreciated.
