Wonderful summary mel221. I actually do eat a lot of avocados, nuts and olive oil...I also discovered Ghirardelli dark baker's chocolate last year...great stuff all. And, Mulholland, I have been tested several times for thyroid...always normal. My greatest problem is the chronic fatigue not allowing for a continuous exercise program...I have exercise intolerance. What happens repeatedly is that I will fell well, start exercising, then collapse for several days feeling as if I have the flu. Wash, rinse, repeat. Been like that since onset of SEID back in 1990...very frustrating to say the least.

But overall, I feel much better after altering my diet over the past few years due to this board and Dr. Davis. I've been gluten free for around 1 1/2 years. I'm also certain that the high cholesterol is hereditary in my case. Almost nothing I do brings it down. Statins do work...but I simply can't tolerate them. So, as Bill said, I have to listen to my body.
