I have a Western Digital My Cloud 2T backup, and I keep a USB drive in the back of it to back up the cloud every evening automatically, this is in case the My Cloud goes out for some reason... 2T is more than plenty for me and I use it to back up two computers automatically... no more third party online nonsense, everything stays here at home... and I can access My Cloud, which means my computer, from anywhere in the world with my smart phone with their app... I've done that several times, once in Switzerland and a few times in New Zealand, and just nearby around my hometown...

Another feature that I really like about this device, when it backs up all my files and data, it also keeps the previous earlier files and data for a while... this way, a few times after having deleted a file days earlier I was able to go into MyCloud and bring back a file already deleted and otherwise long gone... I find it amazing...

If you need storage that’s available from just about everywhere, and you don’t want to rely on a third-party cloud service to provide it, WD’s My Cloud is a brilliant solution.
