Each state has a state flag and a state song and motto.
Each war fought from the day the pilgrims landed is a part of our history. In addition to those wars we have more modern day wars---------in which people are beheaded, an archaic form of murder.

Each of these mottoes, songs, flags carry a message-------including the flag of America---of the founding of America, our nation.

We know that Obama would make state issues a national issue as he wants to be the "controller"------some people would say dictator.

Yes, any consideration of any changes in these symbols is up to our state legislatures.

In Virginia, the State Song Carry Me Back to Old Virginia was reworded in the 1990's to remove words of the past that were offensive to some Virginians words that reflected the time, the moment-----history.

Music like poetry and flags and mottoes reflect the moment.

The recent moment with the young man on drugs will be dealt with in the moment and future moments.

What immediately comes out of this episode is the willingness of Christians to say "I Forgive". That is what the people associated with the South Carolina Church have done.
