Earl Holt III, the president of the Council of Conservative Citizens has been a prolific donor to Republicans in recent years, giving tens of thousands of dollars to a number of prominent Republicans including Sens. Ted Cruz of Texas and Rand Paul of Kentucky, federal disclosures show. His filings list his occupation alternately as a “slumlord” and landlord.
