A new study finds that without human-caused global warming, the New York subways might not have been flooded. ....pure bullshit.............the subways flooded because Sandy struck coastal NJ perpendicular to the coast. and south of NY harbor. The storm surge was amplified by the shape of the NY/NJ coastline, the location of landfall, the perpendicular strike, and most of all the coincidence of landfall with a very high tide. The storm was very large but NOT strong as it was not even a hurricane upon landfall.
