I sort of understand, but not really.

How about if I want to play the music using iTunes on my PC. How do I get the PC to emit the mp3 signal that Chromecast will receive?

And it sounds like Chromecast can also be used to play videos on the TV from the PC. But how do I get the PC to emit the video signal over the wifi that Chromecast will receive?
