Your adolescent understanding of the nature of processes that advance the human condition precludes an ability to grasp stuff that contradicts your all too common assumptions.

You see money taken and given to support welfare for the old and assume that's just ducky. Accepting that small truth as a comprehensive package clouds any ability to grasp the wider forces that have allowed more and more to enjoy increasingly luxuriant amenities.

I'm guessing you measure good in bundles of dollars taken and repurposed for that which you approve. That close focus replaces grasping how money is used as a tool to convey infinitesimal bytes of information that in a free market spontaneously directs scarce resources to enhance, refine, or create new those structures of production that best enhance the human condition.

As others have noted SS and Medicare were mistakes that we're probably stuck with for a long while. I doubt that you can grasp why the Dutch King Willem-Alexander declared the end of their welfare state (or opening efforts to get there).

That will probably come here, but only after the associated ruin gets bad enough for even the juvenile to accept that change is needed.
