Yes, I see, but all that appears to help you stream from a cell phone or tablet to a TV surround system. So... it seems to not solve the problem.
No, the page also shows how to stream from a PC, assuming the PC has Wi-Fi capability. Re-read the page. The Chromecast was designed to do exactly that.

If you want to be able to play everything you have in iTunes (music, movies, podcasts, etc.) then get an Apple TV and plug it into your Sony setup. It's more expensive than the Chromecast (about $70 vs. $35), but it will do what you ask.

I have an Apple TV and love it! So many channels to choose from, plus anything loaded into iTunes is also available. I'm in the process of ripping all my Blu-rays and DVDs into iTunes so they are available there for me.
