Peter, From a former OXHP stalwart--- welcome to the Pleasant Thread!
You made a post a while back about lawyers that I recalled, because we had the same discussion here:

As for the strength in MU, there is apparently good reason to believe that MU will be seeing sharply reduced competition beyond next year.. Now that the Koreans will be forced to "Play by the rules" when it comes to financing capital improvements, there won't be so many duplicative, uneconomic fabs sprouting up to sell DRAM below the cost of production. LSI will see no such advantage, as their competition comes from U.S. companies, and the U.S. subsidiaries of Japanese companies.. Finally, MU seems to have the current technological leadership in the move to .25 micron -- they are already doing .30 micron features..(though I understand Mitusbishi would contest that)..
So MU is a value play, looking beyond current earnings..
As I have both MU and LSI, I'd just as soon see them both go up...but will take what I can get..:-).. How long have you been in LSI? And pardon me if my "welcome" is out of line...just don't recall chatting recently... dlo
