I had the motherboard changed under warranty and I asked the tech how much it would cost me if I paid for it, he said about 250 bucks. This is when the computer was only 4 months old. It turned out the motherboard did not need to be replaced after all, an updated video driver a couple months later fixed the problem I was having back then.

This time its either the MB or the display. I paid a grand for that notebook, it was the top of the line in that model series.
