Hot? No, I just felt it and around the area, it's actually cold from the air conditioning in the room... it seems the computer never get hot... I had it inserted in the back of the My Cloud before, and that got hot... I have USB pieces inserted into some of the USB ports for the mouse and headsets, and so on... they stay inserted with no problems, and they never get hot either... so, why would the USB drive be any different... I'm just asking, thanks, I appreciate your input... GZ
