I tried removing the battery and I did put the jumper back. Ended up with a much better motherboard, so I am almost glad that one died. My new one is ASRock vs. the ECS I had before. The new has four SATA III connectors vs two on the old one. The new one also supports Intel 2.0 Boost and is really easy to overclock. The top speed in turbo mode is now 4.4GHz vs. the 3.8GHz I was getting before. I put it all in a new Lian Li case I bought a long time ago, but just shoved in a closet that also had newer, bigger power supply.

I am all ready to put a Oculus ready graphics card in when January comes...
