Yes, God could have, however, he would also have given corresponding evidence to what he did. God of order and not chaos... Also, the scriptures states: "Let your moderation be known unto all men..." A syn. moderate and temperate are often interchangeable, denoting staying within reasonable limits. Thus, we are urged to make our reasonableness be known to all men. How much more would it apply to the giver of statutes?
