Another possibility for Elroy is to use an Apple Airport Express. The older models, using WiFi speeds 802.11 b/g/n, are available on eBay from time to time at pretty low prices. This listing is for $34.99 US.

Simply use the speaker out connection to connect to your stereo in. It plugs into a standard US wall outlet and is configured to your WiFi in System Preferences / Network. Once it's up and running, the device will appear as one of the output options in iTunes. As you can see, I like the Apple TV as well!
