Beer companies can be great long term plays if you don't overpay. SAM- Boston Beer has been around since 1995. They raised money by putting coupons on their 6 packs of beer. You could have gotten stock at $15/share that way.Everyone else had to buy it at $20. I wonder if there was a limit on shares though. By March of 2000 the stock was down to almost $7/share. Stock hit a high of 314 in January so while not a spectacular return like the list portrays,43 times your money ain't bad.
