I hope that all is well with you.

I have heard some saying that SiGe will be in production soon, and that it will be able to offer performance similar to GaAs, but with the cost of Si technologies. Do you think that this is a correct view of the situation? Let me know if you can answer any of these questions.

1. When will SiGe really be in mass production?
2. Will SiGe be similar in cost with Si?
3. Will SiGe compete with digital GaAs like VTSS, or RF GaAs like ANAD and TQNT (and RFMD)?
4. What do you think of the risks that SiGe poses to the GaAs cos?
5. Which GaAs companies do you think are safe from the SiGe attack?
6. What cos would be a good play on SiGe?
