Fuchi (off topic, continuing from main thread) I have to check the configuration of the file server. It's an older Micron system, and I don't even know how much it can cache. It was originally set up by a consulting company, but they screwed up so many things that we fired them. I started to do most of the hardware related stuff. We have to complete the the upgrade to switched fast ethernet before I re-focus on the server. With 128MB of memory, even if it is not cached, it is not the bottlneck. The response time for getting data from the server is almost the same as getting it from local disk-cache access. Joe
