FUTURE SHOP, 19 December 1997, Q4.
(NYSE:CU) Sierra alliance, Drivers Education '98 Deluxe (w/(TMSR) Sierra Steering Wheel) in stock, $89.99.
ThrustMaster has POP $20.00 MAIL-IN REBATE Coupons "On the purchase of Millennium 3-D at Future Shop between December 1, 1997 and January 31, 1998." Millennium $20 Rebate, P O Box 52937/Dept. 12564, Phoenix, AZ 85072-2937. Some MI packaging has this rebate coupon attached to the packaging. MI, $69.99, is represented in considerable supply/shelf-space at Future Shop(s).
X-Fighter also at Future Shop, $49.99, and has similar $20.00 rebate offer, however, is not specific to Future Shop, as is the Millennium Inceptor. TMSR is moving product, big time. Again, they are very fortunate the RAGE 3D had no competition and Microsoft did not come out with a Steering Wheel. If TMSR introduces a F-F Steering Wheel early Q1 '98 and a F-F JSF? Stick soon thereafter, TMSR should have no trouble maintaining and increasing share throughout 1998-99, in our opinion.
The street (BA Robertson Stephens, Goldman Sachs, Salomon Smith Barney, Merrill Lynch et al) should also buy in after Q4 numbers are in. TMSR unequivocally dominates brand equity/market share in this industry, still and as of today.
We will provide another update this weekend given it is the busiest and last Saturday before XMAS. |
