There actually isn't any divide. Boris was born just NORTH of Kazakhstan, heck I worked with an ethnic Russian who was born IN Kazakhstan.

And I've worked with a few ethnic Kazakhs too. They look like Mongols ... they're descended from one of the Mongol "hordes." Which btw means they're descended from colonial invaders from the east - maybe THEY'RE not native to their own country. Here's something else interesting .. they all speak Russian ...... I'm sure there is still a Kazakh language but when they talk to one another in their own language, they speak Russian and they all have Russian names.

Ethnic Sakhalin are are the Ainu, Oroks and Nivkhs.

"the people there are mostly ethnic Russians."

That's cuz Russians settled there.

Actually most of the Russians there are descended from prisoners exiled there. I guess you can call exile settlement .. it's what happened in Israel, they call that a settler country too.

Most Americans are ethnic Europeans, not Native Americans.

You can consider yourself European, AFAI am concerned, Europe is a place we have to send soldiers to every generation.

How many generations does it take to become native iyo?

Hey, did you know Hitler said Jews weren't native Germans? If your ancestors came from Ukraine, were they accepted as Ukrainians there by other Ukrainains? Since you don't consider America your native country, would you someday like to go back and visit your native country?
