Krauthammer, someone who understands this issue better than about anyone, has articulated it well. As a physician you do a certain amount of good; but the field he chose allows him to have real influence. I think Jindal would argue the same. Today, a given physician has almost no influence on health policy, yet an idiotic neophyte politician like Obama had the opportunity to massively improve the health care for millions.

Of course, he squandered it and ended up making it worse. But that's just because he is an Affirmative Action politician.

His greatest accomplishment, imo, will be to illustrate just how bad Affirmative Action can be.
