Well I did say "in their prime".

Maybe I'm just an old fart... but I don't think the music is as good or creative these days. Might have been the social rebelliousness. The Dead, Janis Joplin, Jefferson Airplane, The Who, Led Zepplin, the list of the great old bands from my youth goes on and on. Most all of the stuff their own music. I'd like to think I'm wrong, but I do know kids that that's all the listen to these days. They don't like their contemporaries.
