Hi Christine, How do you know it wasn't the "chicken flu"? So far transmission from human to human hasn't been observed, but it has been predicted. The flu that you had sounds very nasty, and would be capable of killing the weak and old and people from third world coutries that don't have access to medication, electolyte drinks and warm buildings and such. My son's friend in Austin now has what you have described. With jet-age travel, these things spread quickly. Del
