I mailed a large chunkof money to my brokerage account last Sat. And they still haven't recieved it!!! I wanted to buy a bunch of Jan.30's yesterday. I settled for only 20 this morning. I still doubled my money today but I am still very pissed! Is that bad luck or what?

Jeff,

1. Great to hear from you.

2. You doubled your money. That's cool, not bad luck. Bad luck would be halving your money. Right? So be happy. Heck, if you had invested the full amount, ASND would have tanked today. You know how that works. Don't we all?

3. Next time, do a wire transfer instead of the mail. Even if your bank doesn't waive the fee, it still costs less than 1 low commission trade to effect a wire. And it gets there the same day, or perhaps next day. I really recommend this. I never send checks in the mail to brokerages anymore. Lately, I've been running the Bank of America wire transfer desk ragged with lots of wires to meet maintenance calls. But they work all the time and they keep the margin dep't happy.

4. Announcement this weekend? I don't think so (maybe that will make it happen). On the other hand, as Maverick said, these things happen when you least expect it. Indeed, expecting it is kind of like waiting for water to boil. In any event, I like the thought of a prior poster: what other big network stock can you buy that isn't going to disappoint on earnings next quarter?

Take care!
