Jim,

VGY is the Valueline GEOMENTRIC index. Being geometric, it doesn't suffer from the same degree of volatility that others do. And it normally LEADS the markets. (By as much as 6 months). On TC2000 it is VGY but the symbol is different for Schwab lookups and other downloads I beleive.
