Open question to Lou: Any idea what effect that Sept. 12th International Broadcasting Conference (IBC) '97 showing had for TRUV ? I read that at that showing TRUV products (2000 DTX, RTX & SDX) were demo'd in non-linear systems by: IBM, Avid Technology, Discreet Logic, Scitex, In-Sync, Intergraph Computer Sys., & Sony. Was there a NewsByte system working too ? Anyway, just curious if it went well ?
Also, is TRUV well positioned to deliver products using CUBE's Dvx dual-stream (single chip) MPEG-2 chip ? Is Dvx MPEG-2 a product which could offer competition to DVCpro format ?
What effect, if any, will Pinnacle's products have on TRUV ? Does Pinnacle have any AVID products ? How dependent is TRUV on AVID ?
