All explanations found for anything have always been natural explanations--not Divine answers. People throughout history have always posited divine answers for what they did not understand--the wind, the rustling of leaves, rain. Nymphs and spirits were everywhere. But in the end we have ALWAYS found a natural explanation. We have found no souls. We have found no gods.

Natural selection shows us how life has evolved to adapt to the realities of the universe. Natural selection is not a random shuffle. The natural environment favors some life over others. It is not much different than when I throw a pail of gravel on a screen and get sand. All the other stones are screened out. There was a "fit" between the holes and the small grains of sand. There was not a "fit" between the holes and the larger stones.

In life, we need self replicators. Over time, the offspring which best fit the environment will continue to be sifted. Each generation (in my analogy) is sifted through another screen. Some are a "fit" and some are not. We don't need to posit a creator to explain this. Natural selection is an undeniable fact of science. Adding a creator is gratuitous and it also violates the concept of the law of parsimony. Furthermore, the common argument that a complex biological effect requires an intelligent "cause" swallows itself by its own tail. Because if that is a true premise, then the imagined "cause" is an effect of a necessary cause. Thus the premise that complex effects REQUIRE an intelligent cause is incorrect OR the argument that an intelligent uncaused creator caused intelligent life forms is incorrect.

In any event, Natural Selection is a fact. Invisible men are imaginary until we have some real evidence.
