Ya want to compare idiots, on the local news somewhere in the NYC burbs, they picked up a guy who had set up fireworks in the street in front of his house......stuff large enough to require mortar tubes....... But this year for the first they did allow smaller stuff for personal use.......folks used to motor to the PA border to buy some in the past. Haven't heard of any serious accidents so far today. When I was in my 20's I used to shoot the big stuff from mortar tubes on a golf course......kinda fun... Based on that experience I was really surprised, on a vacation in Colorado, to see the locals shooting the big ones without the use of mortar tubes.......sure as hell, one got loose and went into the crowd.....minutes later ambulances and firetrucks were on the scene.... End of fireworks for that day....
