It was much worse in the 1930's. This image is from the Library of Congress.



In the 1930's, there was 500% more days above 100F than today.



It was also much worse in the late 1800's. Below is a meteorological summary of North Dakota weather/climate in the late 1800's. History is neglected, because it doesn't fit the agenda of global warming.



The Dakotas ended up passing laws on dealing with prairie fires. I can't imagine the air quality from all these fires.



I won't highlight how the winters were during this period, because they were horrific. Variability used to be much worse.
