"I would welcome the day when abortions are a thing of the past."
Can you please elaborate on your strategy for accomplishing this
"I don't have a strategy." I don't have a strategy. Having a hope and a dream does not necessarily imply a strategy. It is not my main work in life. Margaret Sanger certainly moved society from an abortion stance to a contraceptive position. Because of her efforts women now have rights. They now have a life to live--an existence where happiness is a possibility! Everyone reaps the benefit of her dedication, her courage, and her compassion. Christian women (as all women) owe her a debt of gratitude for every day of their lives that they wake up with reproductive choice--and as free agents rather than objects of exploitation!
So where do we go from here?
Well, the human race is struggling between Reason and superstition. Free thinkers invent, do science, and improve life for human beings. The superstitious eat, sleep, whine, squawk, solicit donations--and try to impose their will upon others and to "convert" them to their tribe--where they can contribute their fleece to the leadership! As the foundation of ignorance is replaced by knowledge, there is less and less solid ground for the superstitious and the irrational to stand upon. The earth is being eroded and washed away from beneath their very feet! (HOORAY!)
This is a natural evolution. Weak thinkers will eventually be naturally relegated (Through their own efforts) to the fringes of society. Young people will be educated and shown that getting pregnant is a choice--that it is a choice to be reserved for wanted children--a choice that requires a commitment--and a desire to raise those children to become educated and responsible members of society. |
