If you have not noticed, I know more than the average layman about U.S. law, this is not a good thing, for I am not a lawyer.
Tee hee, I guess that's better that the other way around, or not. What I've noticed is that you and Dowd seem to presume anything with microsoft.com on it is the truth. Poor little Microsoft, the greatest company in the history of the known universe, harrassed by a lilliputian hoard who don't understand the law, or technology, or economics with the precise clarity and omniscient vision of Bill, Reg, and Ayn.
To attempt to attach a human trait to a corporate entity is down right silly. People can be good or bad, corporations can not, period.
Well, legally, corporations get all these things attached to them that seem sort of human, but they like to pick and chose- they get all the rights and none of the responsibilities. It's all so unfair!
And to preempt the ad hominem du jour of the day, yes, I got to calm down and I'm blowing hot air, blah blah blah. Nevertheless, I can't help but chuckle in the course of my continuing education in ethics, courtesy, and humor. At least I'm getting plenty of that last out of this.
Cheers, Dan. |
