I would have - but then again, I am not a pro like JFK - who gambled big and won, no WW3 - or MacArthur, who was a real pro. Like Chlausewitz, (the possibility of) war is but the extension of diplomacy.

Back then, in 1951-52, taking a hard stance against those Chinese invaders, would hardly have triggered a WW3, since everybody and his back then leftist knew, that none of the commies where as yet ready to face up to the possibility of even a few tactical nukes.
