GZ.. Party went great. I've already let my pants out as far as they will go.
My only options are have to get on the NordicTrack or some other torture device or stop with the pasta and Chopin martinis. :-_.

The market really took it on the nose early and the rally was impressive. No 100-point chump change but actually had 250 plus move I was hoping for. . It is hard to tell if the triple witching helped or hurt. Maybe it kept if from accelerating into a 500 to 600 point dump or actually just caused the initial decline to be distorted. Monday should give us a clue.
Personally I see this decline actually picking up momentum next week .
We differ there a bit. It's going to be Asia and Monday that should tell the tale.
Should be a interesting night market Sunday.

One interesting note I wanted to pass on to you and the rest of the thread here.:

We had our annual holiday party at our country club last night.. Every person I talked to took it on the nose with their stock portfolio's this year. I talked to one person who was long VIAS ORCLE MSFT INTL ASND CSCC ZITL VVUS who burned one sizable chuck of glue.
He took a "bath" as he put it.. Deal is... his business made so much dough he said he needed the write off anyway.

I wish I had a year where I needed a million plus write-off but he can't play golf a lick either. He'd probably pay a million denero's if he could break 100 on our track so not even he as everything. har har har :-)

But really... everyone's portfolios were murdered and all had some very sound very stable companies that just took a bath the past few months. Unless you stick with the Dow stocks themselves, I question just how good a year most had in the markets.

Have you or anyone else talked to people who are seeing the same phenomenon unfolding for 1997 here?
